The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are among the most virtuous days of the year. They contain the rites of Hajj, the Day of ‘Arafah, and Eid al-Adha, and are a special opportunity for righteous deeds and remembrance of Allah.
Recommended actions
- Increase prayer, Qur’an, charity, dhikr, and sincere repentance.
- Frequently recite takbir, tahlil, and tahmid.
- Fast during the first nine days as able, especially the Day of ‘Arafah for non-pilgrims.
- Prepare responsibly for Hajj or udhiyah where applicable.
